Visionary Media Executive

“Pioneering Change Through Entertainment and Advocacy”

April Paulk, President and CEO of A.P. Rose Entertainment, is a powerhouse reshaping the landscape of multimedia storytelling with unmatched creativity and purpose. As an accomplished Executive Producer and Director, April has helmed groundbreaking projects like The Queenables, The Kingables, and The Heirables, transforming real-life experiences into compelling entertainment.  Her journey, from overcoming personal struggles to launching A.P. Rose Entertainment in her first week of freedom, fuels everything we do. Balancing life as a mother, advocate, and media mogul, April proves every day that dreams can transform lives. Her work not only captivates audiences but also challenges societal norms, giving voice to justice-impacted communities and turning their stories into powerful movements.

From humble beginnings in Douglas, Georgia, to the heights of Atlanta’s entertainment scene, April has amassed a wealth of experience that extends far beyond traditional media. Her path to success is marked by resilience: surviving domestic violence, enduring an unjust conviction, and emerging stronger with a vision to inspire change. During her five-year incarceration, April conceptualized A.P. Rose Entertainment, a company she brought to life within her first week of freedom on March 3, 2023. This venture stands as a beacon of empowerment, focusing on raw, authentic narratives that defy expectations and uplift those who are often overlooked.

The Queenables is April’s flagship reality series, documenting the journey of formerly incarcerated women as they rebuild their lives, launch businesses, and engage in community service. The series redefines the portrayal of women impacted by the justice system, highlighting their strength, elegance, and entrepreneurial spirit. The Kingables extends this vision, capturing the inspiring resilience of men who rise above their pasts to become community leaders and successful entrepreneurs. The Heirables promises to shine a light on the next generation, celebrating the children of these brave men and women as they navigate their own paths, shaped by the values of strength and perseverance inherited from their parents.

April’s accomplishments extend beyond entertainment. Her educational background, including a dual associate degree in criminal justice and sociology from Georgia Military College and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Augusta University, underscores her deep understanding of social justice and advocacy.

A proud mother of four and grandmother of one, April balances her family life with her trailblazing career. Her twin teenage sons, Joshua and Jordan, along with her adult children, Jaden and Jerzey, and grandson, Jream, inspire her daily.

April Paulk is a visionary leader, proving that success is not defined by one’s past but by the courage to transform adversity into action. Her story is a masterclass in resilience, creativity, and unapologetic ambition, urging us all to pursue our dreams with unrelenting passion.

Whether capturing the grit of Atlanta’s streets or amplifying community impact, A.P. Rose Entertainment isn’t just creating content—it’s empowering a new generation to rise, tell their stories, and chase their dreams.

Inheriting Values and Building Futures

The Heirables, an emerging concept from A.P. Rose Entertainment, highlights the

journeys of the children of The Queenables and The Kingables. This project

channels exploration of generational impact and the ways prejudice and

choices affect future legacies. By focusing on the growth, struggles, and inherited

values of these young people, The Heirables seeks to foster understanding, uplift

parents’ histories. The series promises to be a deeply human look at resilience and how

trauma and hope can shape a new generation.  Every moment sizzles with tension as these young heirs fight to break free from generational trauma, carve their own legacies, and confront the consequences of choices that could make or shatter their futures. It’s a pulse-pounding saga of survival, ambition, and unyielding hope. Prepare to be gripped from start to finish—"The Heirables" will leave you breathless and desperate for more!
